A position has become available in Christchurch for a blind assembler in our blinds department.

Blind assembler – Duties are but are not limited to:

Assembling Slat blinds. Cutting blinds. Quality control. Packing blinds. Other duties as required.

The successful applicant will:

Have a can do attitude.. Be able to read measurements. High level of attention to detail. Be proud of their work and take responsibility for it. Be reliable and honest. Be a tidy worker. Be self-motivated and proactive. Be able to work overtime if necessary. Be able to do some heavy lifting and have a moderate level of fitness. Be able to work on their feet all day. Be able to work on their own as well as in a team. Some cutting experience. (Training will be provided) Have a good awareness of safety requirements associated with a production environment.

The full time position is for 40 hour and 20 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am- 4:00pm and 4.30pm – 8.30pm. Overtime is regularly required. A start date as soon as possible is preferred.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview, where the hourly rate will be discussed. Experience is desirable but full training in the role will be given.
